Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam Movie Review

The movie opens with a love failure song, which instantly reminded me of the "Who tf starts a conversation like this?" meme. It felt dull and out of place. Maybe it’s because we’re used to seeing older actors play younger roles, making the actual young cast, like Anikha Surendran and Pavish, seem even more juvenile next to Dhanush in a school uniform. It felt odd when the story transitioned to discussing their marriage.

Interestingly, Dhanush’s real name is Venkatesh Prabhu, and his character shares the same name and ambition of becoming a chef. Adding to the peculiarity, the protagonist not only resembles Dhanush but even sounds like him—almost like an AI-generated version of the actor.

Mathew Thomas brought humor and kept the film engaging, while Priya Varrier was effortlessly graceful, making both of them worthwhile imports from Mollywood. Saranya Ponvannan appears as the mother but doesn't have much significance in the plot.

It’s a typical love story, but you can’t really criticize it, given the movie’s tagline already sets that expectation. However, the climax is disappointing—or, more accurately, non-existent. Despite these flaws, it’s a decent choice for a casual watch.
